Education Pillar Meeting

Empowering the Next Generation of Designers

As part of Architecture Week in April 2026, AIA San Fernando Valley is hosting John F. Kennedy High School students at Woodbury University to advance equity, early exposure, and pathways into the architecture profession. For many students, visiting a university campus and engaging with architecture programs provides critical exposure to higher education. In partnership with Woodbury University, this initiative connects students with academic and professional pathways while advancing Architecture Week’s mission of public engagement and design advocacy.

During the visit, students will participate in a guided campus tour, explore architecture and design programs, and engage with Woodbury University faculty, staff, and students to learn about career pathways. AIA San Fernando Valley members can support this effort by volunteering during the event, sharing their professional journeys, mentoring students, assisting with event logistics, or helping coordinate activities in advance. We invite members to join our upcoming Education Pillar Meeting to learn more about this Architecture Week activation and how you can be part of this exciting initiative. Register here!
