The 2016 AIA SFV Design Awards Banquet Photographs
The AIA San Fernando Valley Chapter held the 30th Annual Installation and Design Awards Banquet on Saturday February, 4th and it was a great success. Projects that were entered for the awards were by AIA members of the San Fernando Valley Chapter and other Chapter members who prepared projects within the San Fernando Valley Chapter boundaries.

2016 AIA/SFV & AIA/SFV Endowment FUND Scholarship Awards at Woodbury University
The Grand Critique Presentation was held on November 8th at the Woodbury University Campus in the Ahmanson Main Space, School of Architecture Building. Interim Dean of the SoA Ingalill Wahlroos-Ritter and Marc Neveu PhD, Chair of the Architecture Department, were also present during the festivities. The scholarship awards were presented to the three 5th year Grand Critique and eight additional winners selected based on portfolios submitted by the Grad and Under-Grad students.

The AXP Design Competition
Registration is complete and we are in the project review process. The competition involves the design of a neighborhood park in Los Angeles to be built by the city. It will include a playground, sports facilities and related buildings.
This competition meets all new AXP guidelines as outlined by NCARB. It will include mandatory requirements which will gain participants 160 Core Hours. Optional electives can also be earned up to an additional 75 core hours – So everyone wins in this contest!
