On Monday, October 22nd, AIA SFV hosted its 17th Annual Golf Tournament at the Woodland Hills Country Club to a full course of fun‐filled players. With the weather ‘picture perfect’, the consensus voted the annual fund raiser a ‘hole‐in‐one’!
Starting off with light breakfast, the participants headed off to a putting contest comprised of 3 short holes. With most players aiming to sink the big prize, the battle ended in a 14 way tie! The eventual winner, chosen from a hat, was Dan McGee Several challenging contests were held throughout the day on the course. Longest drive was won by Randy Mason for the men, and Kris Amon for the women. The closest to the pin was won by Dean Oldenkamp with 20 inches. Sadly, no player aced the 6th hole to win the 2013 Cadillac, which was sponsored by Keyes Motors. Maybe next year!

Encouraged by the participation and effort at the event, AIA SFV President Brad McDonald added, “the bottom line is that a nice day in a very nice private club with good friends is always better than a day sitting down at the City waiting for the plan checker to call your number. I would like to take a moment and thank the Golf Committee: Kenny Lee, Murray Siegel, Peter Puzo, Vladimir Elmanovich, George De La Nuez, as well as Leslie Nathan and Veronica Terpatsi for their tireless effort in planning the event.
Also, special thanks to Mike Silva, Blair Seibert, and Robert Matteson as well as our two student volunteers, Colin McCarville and Lauren Amador, from Woodbury University for their volunteer efforts on the day. Michael Heiss did a wonderful job of running our auction and is always good for a funny joke and assistance in cajoling the crowd into bidding to support the chapter. Thanks to you all for a successful event!
If you missed it, you missed a wonderful event! We hope to see you all next year!
